EuroMed board and management meeting is taking place from 1-6 December 2023 in Estonia

Dear Members of Euromed,

We are happy to inform that EuroMed network management (president Amb. Hatem Atallah (Tunis), members of the board Sanna Lengdren (Finland), Adel Al Baghdadi (Neatherlands), Yassine Isboa (Morocco), Stefanos Vallianatos (Greece), Stepan Bondarenko (Estonia) and Mahmoud Ezzat (Egypt)) will have its first face-to face management meeting scince COVID 19 pandemia  in Tallinn, Estonia where will take part in Annual Estonian Youth conference “Education, culture and sustainable development advocacy in the interests of youth”, finalise project application on development cooperation between North and South to improve capacity of the  network  and will set content of the EuroMed network own annual conference 2024.

The main aim of the Estonian conference is to try to adequately understand and decipher the challenges facing young people and regions today, the crises they may face in the future, to better understand the causes of their emergence and their impact on society, and how we can enhance the work of voluntary advocacy through the Sustainable Development Goals as well as through public diplomacy. At the conference, participants will look at possible solutions to promote public diplomacy and intercultural dialogue between young people and civil society representatives, how to better support the integration of minorities, and to map out the role of youth in achieving the SDGs.

EuroMed network represented by H.E. Amb. Hatem Atallah (Tunisia) will take part in Estonian conferce by sharing own experice, conducting workshops, leading working group and making a speech on opening and clossing sessions. Networm management and board representatives are invited to take part and contribute to the agenda.

Following the conference we will have intesive programm of the meetings, Network project development and Annual confernece planing for 2024 what will be hosted by Estonia.

29.11.2023  Working day I

  • Preparation meeting (pre-conference meetings) of the conference
  • Meeting with Estonian NGOs and sharing experience and practicies with Estonian umbrella organisations (NENO, AKU,  Estonian Youth Council, HEAK and Mondo)
  • Conduction of the workshop on public diplomacy for young people.

  • Working Meeting with Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, Artur Tänna and Robert Derevski (Middle East and Africa Department and Human Rights Department) and Estonian Host
  • Working meeting with the conference organizing team on international conference (1-2.12.2023) content

1.12.2023 Working day III

  • International Youth Conference “Education, culture and advocacy in the field of sustainable development for the benefit of youth”” Day 1 of the conference (in Tallinn)

2.12.2023 Working day IV

  • International Youth Conference “Education, culture and advocacy in the field of sustainable development for the benefit of youth” Day 2 of the conference
  • EuroMed Network management and Board meeting (Tallinn).

Project Proposal Preparation Day + Preparation of the EuroMed Network Annual Conference 2024 (Narva)

  • Preperation of the Euro-Medditerenian network project proposal
  • Discussion regarding EuroMed Network Annual Conference 2024  with Network members and Estonian host /Estonian officials

  • Preperation of the EUROMED conference 2024 in Estonia (visiting venue)

6.12.2023 Working day VI

  • Preperation of the EUROMED conference 2024 in Estonia (meeting with Britsh Council, Nordic Council of  Ministries office in Estonia)
